Overview:

My exciting New Space client is seeking a dynamic Engineering Leader to head up multiple engineering disciplines within their growing organization. This senior leadership role will lead the design and development of the reentry systems for a next-generation hypersonic vehicle. This is a rare opportunity to lead a clean-sheet vehicle design, guiding a talented team through the architecture, development, and production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a highly skilled engineering team to execute on vehicle design and development.
  • Lead the design and development of advanced aerospace systems, focusing on areas such as aerodynamics, thermal systems, structural components, and control mechanisms.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of the vehicle, from simulation & analysis to production & testing.
  • Drive technical decision-making and program-level strategy for clean-sheet design.

Required Qualifications:

  • ITAR: Must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
  • B.S. degree in related field.
  • 10 years of related engineering experience with substantial senior management experience.
  • 5 years of experience in vehicle design, aerodynamics, and advanced flight technologies.
  • Experience designing, developing, and testing aerospace vehicles, particularly in hypersonic, supersonic, or reentry applications.
  • Expert in computational tools (e.g., CFD) and materials for high-speed or reentry systems, including thermal protection and structural design.
  • Experience managing delivering projects from concept through production.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in related field.
  • Experience building and managing an engineering team.
