I'm currently searching for a Polymer Engineer to join a semiconductor materials manufacturing site in Hayward, California. In this role, you'll be leading the development of elastomeric and adhesive materials ensuring alignment with industry and customer needs by providing expertise in Research & Development and manufacturing efforts.

Job Duties:

· Lead the development and commercialization of innovative polymer and elastomeric materials, aligning with industry trends and customer needs.

· Prepare and present technical presentations at industry conferences and customer meetings.

· Offer ongoing support for the development of new materials, formulations, and processes throughout their lifecycle.

· Perform root cause and failure analysis for both existing and new products during their development stages.

· Provide expert chemistry insights for R&D efforts, addressing inquiries from Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Marketing teams.

· Define and communicate project timelines, prioritize action items, and assess resource requirements to management and customers.

Education & Training:

· Master's degree in Polymer Chemistry or a related field, with at least 10 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

· A proven history of developing commercial products and innovative technologies.

· Strong understanding of elastomers, adhesives, and associated manufacturing processes.

· Proficient in statistical analysis and laboratory techniques.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to providing solutions.

· Prior experience with roll-to-roll coating or extrusion manufacturing processes is highly desirable.

· Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

· Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and other quality and manufacturing controls is a plus.
