We’re seeking a Lead HVAC Engineer to lead a team responsible for the design, installation, and commissioning of complex climate control & ventilation systems for a massive new nuclear facility on an exciting new project in Oak Ridge, TN.
This person will serve as the technical authority on HVAC systems & review design deliverables, oversee and coordinate HVAC engineering work performed by the EPC contractor, and ensure all HVAC design and construction activities comply with applicable codes and standards.
Requirements:
- BSc Mechanical Engineering or related
- 3-7 years’ experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, standards, and calculation software
- Understanding of building automation systems
- Knowledge of relevant codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, NRC/DOE reqs)
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or higher
- PE license
- Prior experience in nuclear industry
