Overview
The Project Manager will oversee structural steel projects from initial planning through final completion. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with internal fabrication teams, field erection crews, clients, general contractors, architects, and other project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage structural steel projects from kickoff to closeout.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate between fabrication shops, field erection teams, and subcontractors.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, general contractors, and design partners.
- Oversee project documentation and reporting using Procore and Bluebeam.
- Ensure all work meets quality expectations, contractual requirements, and safety standards.
- Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Conduct site visits as needed to track progress and support field teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in construction.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication and/or erection strongly preferred.
- Understanding of AISC standards and structural steel processes.
- Strong proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and communication.
- Experience with Procore and Bluebeam or similar tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
