Job Opportunity – Configuration Management – Complex Capital Project – Oak Ridge, TN
We’re looking for a Configuration Management superstar to support one of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in the United States.
This role sits at the intersection of systems engineering, design, construction, and commissioning, with real ownership over how engineering data, baselines, and changes are governed across the full project lifecycle. If you care deeply about traceability, disciplined change control, and keeping massive programs technically aligned, this is a meaningful seat at the table.
What you’d be doing:
- Owning and evolving the project’s configuration management framework
- Managing system and subsystem baselines from concept through as-built
- Driving engineering change control across multiple organizations
- Ensuring drawings, specs, BOMs, and design data stay controlled and consistent
- Partnering closely with systems, design, procurement, construction, and quality teams
- Supporting audits, readiness activities, and commissioning with clean, trusted data
Requirements:
- Several years of configuration management experience on large, complex engineering or infrastructure/construction projects.
- Comfort working with enterprise CM / PLM / requirements tools (Excel, Windchill, Teamcenter, DOORS, SmartPlant, etc)
- Strong grounding in systems engineering lifecycle and technical baselining
- Confidence navigating EPC-style environments with many stakeholders
- Bonus points for experience in highly regulated industries or formal CM standards (ANSI/EIA-649)
This is a high-impact role on a program where configuration discipline truly matters — not a checkbox function.
