Job Opportunity – Hardware Technician IV – Battery Test & Development- Portland, OR
We’re looking for an experienced Hardware Technician to join our client in the Greater Portland, OR area to join an engineering team developing power management hardware in industrial battery systems for multiple industries.
This person will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical tests on prototypes & units under the supervision of Engineers and PMs. This person will also be supporting the development of electrical architecture and design, integration and debugging of electrical hardware and validation of the design.
Responsibilities:
- Prototype assembly (battery packs, BMS, UPS systems)
- Test fixture creation & assembly + operation of test equipment and performing design verification and validation testing
- Participate in RC/CA
- Support electrical schematic capture and BOM maintenance
Requirements:
- ASc in Electronics or related (BSc preferred)
- At least 4 years demonstrated experience
- Experienced in assembly, testing and documentation
- Experience reading electrical schematics and drawings & PCB layout
- Strong background/experience in Power Electronics or high voltage technologies
