Lumicity is partnered with a leading Robotics startup in Boston building robotic systems that automate tire changing and balancing, replacing manual work in tire shops with machines powered by robotics and software.
The team is looking for a Staff / Principal Perception Engineer to join their team. Having full ownership over project taking it from start to finish.
Non-negotiables:
- onsite – 5 days in person
- US citizenship or H1b Transfer
Experience:
- 7+ years of industry experience, technical leadership and architectural.
- PhD or MS within Robotics, Machine learning or Computer Vision.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
- Deep experience with modern machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Proven track record building and deploying computer vision systems in production
- Experience with object detection, tracking, segmentation, or 3D perception
- High level of experience with ROS2 / real-time systems and performance optimization
