Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join their growing team at a reputable commercial general contractor. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background managing diverse commercial construction projects, particularly within commercial, institutional, and community-focused sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Proactively identify and resolve project risks and challenges
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Mentor and support project engineers and field staff
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor
- Proven experience managing projects such as churches, fire stations, office buildings, and/or libraries
- Demonstrated history of solid tenure with current or previous employer(s) (stability and long-term commitment are highly valued)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling (CPM), and cost control
- Experience with public and/or institutional projects is a plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
