A growing advanced manufacturing startup is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead and scale its quality systems. The company is developing next-generation manufacturing technologies to produce high-performance components for demanding applications across aerospace, defense, and energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a scalable Quality Management System aligned with AS9100 and ISO9001
- Lead inspection and testing activities, including non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
- Integrate quality requirements into product development and manufacturing workflows
- Own non-conformance handling, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Drive process improvements to enhance yield, consistency, and efficiency
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to embed quality standards
- Qualify and manage suppliers to ensure material and service quality
- Maintain quality documentation, metrics, and compliance processes
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across quality and production systems
- Support equipment selection and capability development
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in quality engineering within advanced manufacturing environments
- Experience building or scaling QMS frameworks (AS9100, ISO9001)
- Knowledge of NDT techniques and inspection methodologies
- Strong background in failure analysis, defect investigation, and corrective actions
- Experience working in fast-paced or scaling production environments
- Familiarity with supplier quality and external partner management
- Working knowledge of PLM/ERP systems
- Must be a U.S. Person
