The Client:

Lumicity has partnered with an exciting and expanding company operating within the clean energy and power generation space in their search for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Our client is focused on the development of advanced industrial energy solutions to produce energy. The ideal candidate for this position will hold strong experience taking ownership of the full mechanical design process, from design through to commissioning.

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead designs through the entire life cycle, from design to prototype, development, testing, and validation.
  • Design, test, and refine a variety of pressure vessel systems, pumps and compressors
  • Produce detailed CAD models, engineering drawings and assembly documentation
  • Lead and promote continuous improvement methodologies to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Support commissioning activities, ensuring all systems work efficiently.

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and managing the full product lifecycle
  • Previous experience designing, prototyping, testing and validating pressure vessel systems
  • Strong understanding of hands-on mechanical engineering, including casting experience is advantageous
  • Extensive experience surrounding 3D CAD modelling
  • Previous experience with FEA, fluid simulations and/or Ansys is advantageous.
