Job Title: Senior Principal Engineer – Water & Wastewater
Location: Orange County, California
Compensation: $140,000-$210,000 + Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday onsite

About the Job:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Engineer to join their growing Orange County team. This is a leadership role within a well-established consulting firm delivering water, wastewater, and infrastructure solutions across public and private sector clients.
This individual will play a key role in managing complex engineering projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and supporting client development efforts while contributing to the company’s continued growth.
The Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of water and wastewater treatment, utility, and site development projects
- Manage full project lifecycle including schedules, budgets, and client relationships
- Oversee design-build projects including treatment systems, pump stations, and conveyance infrastructure
- Review and approve technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders
- Mentor and manage junior and mid-level engineers
The Requirements:
- 8+ years’ experience in water/wastewater engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline
- Active Professional Engineer license (California preferred)
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects
- Strong background in water supply, wastewater treatment, and water reuse projects
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
