Lead Power Systems Engineer – Remote – US
We are seeking a Principal Power Systems Engineer to support the design and execution of advanced energy infrastructure projects. This role will lead Electrical/I&C engineering efforts related to turbine-generator systems, power distribution, and plant integration in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead power systems engineering from concept development through construction, startup, and turnover.
- Coordinate across engineering disciplines, suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support equipment selection, procurement documentation, design reviews, and technical workshops.
- Manage interfaces between power equipment and plant systems.
- Promote strong engineering quality, safety culture, and project execution.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in power systems or large-scale industrial engineering projects.
- Experience in regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, defense, or energy infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems, steam turbines, steam generators, and the Rankine power cycle
- Ability to work effectively in remote and hybrid environments.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Must meet U.S. export control requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- PE license or advanced engineering degree.
- Experience with advanced energy systems, grid integration, or first-of-a-kind technologies.
- Familiarity with NRC, DOE, or other regulated industry standards.
- Experience with engineering software tools and innovation-driven organizations.
