About the role
Every big shift in how the country builds and powers itself creates demand for skilled people. Our Chicago team recruits across environmental and power infrastructure, helping companies find the engineers, project managers and specialists behind those projects. As an Associate Consultant, you’ll focus on one corner of that world, get to know it properly, and build a reputation as the person to talk to.
There’s no need for recruitment experience. We’ll train you through classroom sessions, desk-side coaching and regular one-to-one feedback, and our promotion path shows exactly what each step up takes. Some of our Chicago consultants have earned their first promotion within a year.
Our Chicago office is based in Fulton Market, and Lumicity also has teams in Los Angeles, Houston and Miami, recruiting across Engineering, Technology, Construction, Clean Energy and Life Sciences. Expect a focused, friendly team that sets high standards and backs each other to hit them.
Main responsibilities
- Map out your market and the people and companies within it
- Start conversations with new clients and build long-term partnerships
- Find and qualify candidates, then guide them through interviews to offer
- Negotiate terms and close placements
- Learn from experienced consultants and contribute to team wins
Requirements
- Motivated by earning potential and clear goals
- Confident on the phone and comfortable meeting new people
- Willing to take feedback and keep improving
- Organized and good at prioritizing
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
The offer
- $40,000 base + uncapped commission (OTE $[XX,000] in year one)
- 15 days PTO, rising with promotion, plus 10 federal holidays
