About the role

Our client is a growing medical device manufacturer hiring a Director, Sales Administration to lead the support functions behind its sales organization and contracting process. You’ll be responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the assigned sales organization, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to keep objectives and priorities aligned across the sales function.

The role covers a broad scope of sales operations. That includes territory planning, forecasting, budgeting, quota setting, reporting, and KPI tracking, alongside sales process optimization, training, and program implementation. You’ll manage field inventory allocation and par levels with Finance and Operations, and you’ll lead CRM adoption and data standards across field sales teams. You’ll also give senior leadership input on sales incentive compensation design and partner with Accounting, Finance, and HR on administering it. In medical device sales operations, this typically involves platforms such as Salesforce and incentive compensation tools such as Xactly or Varicent.

You’ll also own the end-to-end contract lifecycle for hospital and facility agreements, covering drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewal. As the main operational link between Sales, Legal, and Finance, you’ll set governance policies and approval structures, maintain standard templates and pre-approved language, and run the contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform. Hospital contracting in this space commonly involves group purchasing organizations (GPOs) and integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and has to be handled with close attention to healthcare compliance requirements such as the Anti-Kickback Statute.

This is a leadership role. You’ll build and develop your team, lead the monthly commercial update, and form strong cross-functional relationships with key management across the business.

  • Administer and optimize the CLM platform, tracking expirations, auto-renewals, and obligations
  • Report on contract cycle times, approval bottlenecks, win/loss patterns, and renewal pipeline health
