About the role

Our client is a growing semiconductor company hiring an Embedded Systems Developer for its team in Montreal. You’ll work on low-level software for embedded systems, with a focus on wireless technologies including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

The role is hands-on and close to the hardware. Low-level embedded development in C of this kind typically involves writing drivers and firmware for microcontrollers, commonly ARM Cortex-M based, working with real-time operating systems such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr, and using peripheral interfaces like SPI, I2C, and UART. Debugging usually happens at the hardware level, with tools such as JTAG debuggers and logic analyzers.

On the wireless side, work in a semiconductor environment often includes integrating and optimizing Wi-Fi and BLE stacks, managing connectivity and power consumption, and validating performance on real silicon.
