About the role
Our client is an RF electronics company expanding its engineering team. It’s hiring an experienced PCB Design Engineer to support the design and development of high-frequency electronic hardware.
You’ll design and lay out RF and high-frequency PCBs using Altium or similar tools, applying strong knowledge of signal integrity and high-frequency design principles. RF board design of this kind typically involves controlled-impedance transmission lines such as microstrip, stripline, and grounded coplanar waveguide. It also means selecting suitable materials, including low-loss laminates such as Rogers or PTFE-based substrates, and careful attention to grounding, via fencing, and isolation. Simulation tools such as Keysight ADS or Ansys HFSS are often used alongside layout.
The role is hands-on beyond layout. You’ll be involved in RF hardware development, testing, and debugging, commonly with lab equipment such as vector network analyzers and spectrum analyzers. Experience with RF power electronics or amplifier-based systems is particularly relevant, as boards in these systems also have to manage heat and high power levels reliably.
