Project Manager/Estimator – Commercial Drywall and Interiors

Location: Twin Cities, MN

About the role

Our client is an established commercial drywall and interior specialty contractor that has worked in the Twin Cities market for decades. The company self-performs metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and related interior scopes across healthcare, retail, office, and institutional projects. It’s hiring a Project Manager/Estimator who understands both what it takes to win work and what it takes to deliver it.

You’ll own projects from the first number to final closeout. On the front end, you’ll prepare bid packages, perform material takeoffs, and develop accurate proposals by reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Takeoffs in this trade are commonly done in tools such as On-Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam Revu, and cover scopes like metal stud framing, gypsum board, ACT ceilings, and fire-rated assemblies.

Once work is won, you’ll manage it through delivery. You’ll oversee budgets, schedules, change orders, and project documentation, coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and general contractors throughout the project lifecycle, and act as the main point of contact for clients and GCs. In subcontractor project management, that typically includes monthly pay applications and tracking change order pricing and approvals closely.

You’ll often be juggling several active bids and projects at once, so strong organization and clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and field teams are essential.
