Senior Project Manager – Retail & Grocery Construction | Salt Lake City, UT
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (with travel to project locations)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience + ESOP + up to 5% project-based bonus
Our client, a well-established General Contractor, is looking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager to their team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position focuses primarily on retail construction, with a strong emphasis on grocery store projects. The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing grocery and retail projects from preconstruction through completion and is comfortable overseeing projects across different markets.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial retail projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall project performance
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Manage subcontractor relationships and project buyout
- Review and manage project schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
- Monitor project costs and identify potential risks or issues
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with project stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Travel to project locations as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a General Contractor
- Required: Experience managing grocery store construction projects
- Strong background in retail and commercial construction
- Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, budgets, scheduling, and project controls
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities
- Willingness to travel to project locations as needed
