Robotics Specialist
Location: San Francisco, CA / Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week / Pay: $32/hr, including health benefits
About the role
Our client is a robotics company developing robots for household tasks. It’s hiring Robotics Specialists in San Francisco to support the testing and development of its technology, working hands-on with the robots and helping engineering teams understand how they perform.
Day to day, you’ll use specialized robotic devices to complete set tasks, operating them by hand across shifts that run for several hours. The aim is to capture high-quality data, so consistency and attention to detail matter in every repetition. In roles like this, operators often control the robot directly or through teleoperation, performing everyday household-style tasks repeatedly so the data reflects how people actually do them.
Your feedback is part of the job too. Engineering teams rely on what you notice while operating the devices, from small inconsistencies to bigger performance issues, to improve the robots over time.
This is a hands-on starting point for someone who wants to work in robotics and emerging technologies. You’ll need strong dexterity and the stamina to stay focused throughout each shift, but no technical background is required.
