Senior Electrical Engineer – Advanced Clean Energy Systems

Location: South Windsor, CT / Hybrid / Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 base, depending on experience

About the role

Our client is a clean energy technology company developing next-generation power systems for data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. It’s hiring multiple Electrical Engineers to join the team, with flexibility across experience levels.

This is a hands-on role covering electrical design, system integration, testing, and product development. You’ll design electrical systems, panels, enclosures, and power distribution systems, and produce the schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation behind them. Design work of this kind is typically carried out to standards such as the NEC, UL 508A for industrial control panels, and NFPA 70E for electrical safety, using tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.

You’ll support products from early concept through testing and release. That includes leading troubleshooting, design reviews, and verification testing, and supporting power conversion, safety systems, and electrical integration as products mature.

The role is highly collaborative. You’ll work closely with mechanical, systems, software, and field engineering teams to bring complete power systems together.

Main responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems, panels, enclosures, and power distribution systems
  • Create schematics, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Support product development from concept through testing and release
  • Lead troubleshooting, design reviews, and verification testing
  • Support power conversion, safety systems, and electrical integration

Requirements
  • Strong electrical design and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with complex power, industrial, or energy systems
  • Knowledge of panels, AC/DC systems, power conversion, VFDs, or system integration
  • Experience with verification, validation, and root cause analysis

Nice to have:

  • Energy, power generation, data center, or mission-critical experience
