About the role

Our client is hiring an RF Verification Engineer to bring up and characterize radio silicon in the lab. You’ll test radio chips and modules, measure their RF performance, and debug issues as new silicon comes up.

The work is hands-on and lab-based. You’ll use signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes to characterize transmit and receive performance across technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular. Characterization of this kind typically covers measurements such as output power, EVM, ACLR, receiver sensitivity, and phase noise, often with vector network analyzers and power meters alongside the core instruments.

Automation is a key part of the role. You’ll write and edit Python test scripts to control instruments and run measurements, commonly using SCPI commands through libraries such as PyVISA. That way, characterization can be repeated consistently across devices and conditions.

To be clear about the scope: this role focuses on lab bring-up and RF characterization. It isn’t a factory test or ATE-only role, an antenna chamber role, or pure digital verification.

Main responsibilities
  • Bring up new radio silicon in the lab
  • Test and characterize radio chips and modules (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, or similar)
  • Measure and debug RF performance
  • Use lab equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  • Write and edit Python test scripts to automate measurements
Requirements
  • Experience testing radio chips or modules (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, or similar)
  • Hands-on lab experience with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  • Ability to measure and debug RF performance
  • Python experience writing or editing test scripts
  • MS in Electrical Engineering, or strong equivalent experience

This role suits an RF engineer who’s at home in the lab and enjoys working with new silicon from first power-up through full characterization. If that sounds like you, apply below.
