About the role

Our client is a growing engineering consulting firm looking for a Senior Wastewater Engineer to lead wastewater treatment and conveyance projects. The role is available across its locations in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Philadelphia. You’ll work on water and wastewater infrastructure that communities rely on, for a client base that includes municipalities, utility authorities, private developers, and industrial clients.

You’ll lead projects from design and bidding through construction administration and delivery. That means owning scope, schedules, budgets, and the client relationship, alongside hands-on design work on treatment and conveyance systems. Typical projects include wastewater treatment plants, pump and lift stations, force mains, gravity sewers, and wider utility infrastructure.

Regulatory work is a key part of the job. You’ll prepare permitting documents and coordinate with regulatory agencies and municipal stakeholders, typically within frameworks such as NPDES permitting under the Clean Water Act and state environmental agency requirements. Hydraulic modeling, using tools common to the discipline such as SewerGEMS, InfoWorks, or similar, supports much of the conveyance design.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll also mentor junior engineers and technical staff, helping develop the next generation of engineers in the firm.
