About the role

Our client is hiring a Software Engineer in Seattle who’s early in their career and ready to take on real responsibility. This is a product-focused role. You’ll work to understand the problems behind the code, decide what to build, and take features from idea through to delivery.

You’ll work across the stack, on frontend, backend, or both, depending on what each problem needs. Full-stack roles like this commonly involve frameworks such as React and TypeScript on the frontend, languages like Python or Node.js on the backend, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS. More important than any single technology is being confident picking up new ones quickly.

Customers are central to how the team works. You’ll speak with users, learn how they work, and look for ways software can make their jobs easier, treating those conversations as part of building the product rather than a separate task.

This role suits someone who takes ownership. You won’t always get a detailed specification. You’ll be expected to work out what needs to happen and see it through.
