Location: US-based, assigned territory / Base salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + commission / OTE: $200,000 – $270,000
About the role
Our client is a medical device company hiring a U.S. Territory Manager to drive growth across an assigned territory. You’ll focus on new account development, clinical product adoption, and strategic account management, with the goal of building sustainable use of the company’s endovascular devices.
This role combines quota ownership with hands-on clinical work. Alongside building pipeline and managing accounts, you’ll support endovascular procedures in the cath lab and angio suite, educate physicians and clinical teams, lead hospital evaluations, and work with the stakeholders who influence purchasing decisions. Many of these cases are urgent, so responsiveness and procedural credibility matter.
Winning a hospital account typically means more than finding a physician champion. You’ll guide evaluations through value analysis committees, work with supply chain and contracting teams, and convert competitive accounts, all while communicating clinical evidence and product indications accurately. As with most hospital medical device sales, the work is governed by strict compliance standards such as the AdvaMed Code of Ethics.
The organization is looking for someone who can own a territory end to end, combining commercial drive with the clinical knowledge to earn trust in the procedure room.
Main responsibilities
- Own territory strategy, quota attainment, account segmentation, pipeline development, forecasting, CRM accuracy, and expense management
- Prospect hospitals, establish physician champions, and lead clinical evaluations and value analysis approvals
- Negotiate within company guidelines, convert competitive accounts, and expand product utilization
- Demonstrate products and support endovascular procedures
- Train physicians and clinical teams on approved indications and techniques
- Troubleshoot implementation issues and escalate clinical questions appropriately
- Build relationships across neurointerventional, cardiology, radiology, vascular, supply chain, administrative, and contracting teams
- Coordinate cases, maintain field inventory and product availability, and manage customer follow-up
- Collaborate cross-functionally while adhering to ethical and compliance standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of consultative hospital medical device sales, or equivalent sales and clinical field experience, with demonstrated quota attainment and territory ownership
- Commercial and procedural support experience in neurointerventional/stroke, complex PCI/STEMI, or peripheral vascular intervention (ALI/PAD)
- Proven success opening accounts, leading evaluations, navigating hospital approvals, converting competitors, and building sustained product utilization
- Ability to communicate clinical evidence, patient-selection considerations, and product indications accurately and compliantly
Nice to have:
- Mechanical or aspiration thrombectomy experience
- New technology launch experience
- Experience supporting urgent endovascular procedures
- Physician training experience
- On-call case coverage
- Experience driving recurring disposable device utilization
