About the role
Our client is a growing climate tech company hiring a Vice President of Design & UX to lead and scale its design function. You’ll shape the user experience across multiple digital products, spanning web and mobile, and report to the Product leader.
You’ll define design strategy, raise design standards, and mentor a growing team, while staying closely involved in hands-on execution. Building and maintaining scalable design systems is a core part of the role. In practice, that typically means a shared component library and design tokens in Figma, documentation that keeps product teams consistent, and accessibility built in from the start, commonly guided by WCAG standards.
Strong partnership across Product and Engineering is essential. You’ll work closely with both to make sure design decisions hold up through development, and to build design and research practices such as user research and usability testing that keep the team focused on real user needs. You’ll also own the design vision, standards, and execution across the company’s products.

Requirements
- 10+ years in digital product design leadership
- Experience managing and developing design teams
- Strong hands-on expertise with Figma and modern UX tools

- Strong partnership skills across Product and Engineering
- Experience across both web and mobile products
